Back by popular demand I will be teaching restorative yoga at the Kirtland Community Center on Friday Dec. 9th. Here is the class description:
Restorative Yoga Just in time for the busy holiday season, restorative yoga helps you experience deep relaxation, quieting of the mind, and assists with releasing stress and tension. Students are guided into poses using blankets, bolsters, blocks, and chairs (all provided). No yoga experience is required. These supported poses are beneficial to anyone and even can be helpful to those who are recovering from illness, injury, or emotional distress. The calm of this practice can help lower heart rate and blood pressure, balance the nervous system, enhance energy flow, and strengthen the immune system. Restorative yoga helps you learn how to heal yourself and creates greater union of emotions, mind, and body. Bring a yoga or exercise mat. Dec. 9 from 1:00-2:45 p.m. Cost is $8 and due 12/5. For non-seniors cost is $15.
